June means weddings, and we’re celebrating with Italian Wedding Soup. As with many foods, the soup is not Italian and has nothing to do with weddings—its lovely name comes from a mistranslation of minestra maritata, which refers to the “marriage” of greens and meat. Add a light broth and Parmigiano cheese, and you have the stuff happy marriages are made of.
