Whether you are baking traditional chicken tetrazzini, rich lasagna or cheesy macaroni one thing is a given—you are cooking for the people you love…and nothing says love like a big bowl of cheesy mac. This season cozy up to one of our five fabulously filling dishes while following these pasta-perfect tips:
- For recipes that require you to boil the pasta beforehand, cook just al dente—firm to the bite.
- The fact that you can assemble pasta bakes a day ahead is one of their biggest perks. Since they do not contain raw ingredients, it is perfectly safe to refrigerate the dish overnight or place them in the freezer for later use. Just keep in mind cold dishes will need a little extra time (and occasionally more moisture) when baking.
- The baking dish you choose for your recipe should be heavy duty with high sides to avoid cheese and sauce spilling over and into your oven. Also with dishes like our lasagna with Cheddar cheese, we suggest buttering the bottom and sides of the pan to avoid sticking.
